HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth has recently been recognized as a Stroke Rehabilitation Center of Excellence. HealthSouth of Fort Worth is one of only 18 hospitals in HealthSouth’s nationwide network of more than 90 rehabilitation hospitals to be recognized as a Stroke Rehabilitation Center of Excellence. Donna Robacker, Senior Occupational Therapist at the Downtown Hospital, has been the champion of bringing this award to HealthSouth of Fort Worth. "We have been striving to acheive this recognition for the past six years. We have been so close many times so it is nice to have finally received it. It reflects the hard work and great patient outcomes our hospital provides this community," Robacker said. "We believe that our hospital is the best place for stroke rehabilitation to occur. Patients have a better chance of obtaining their highest possible level of functioning here than any alternative such as a SNF or Home Health. Our therapists have worked as a team with nursing, case managers, and physicians to provide successful outcomes."
